My 10 minutes of Social Networking in a Day

1 Check Gmail, for emails which I know for sure it will be there, no surprises there. 1.5 min
2 Scan Google Alerts, Check your Google alerts and news 2.5 min
3 Orkut 0.5 min
4 FaceBook, check for updates 1.0 min
5 Twitter, check out your tweeps 1.0 min
6 Google Reader ( all my favs) 3.0 min
7 LinkedIn (weekly) 0.5 min

Till now Life was good……………


After 30 min Start again from Step 1 ooops

Mine is worse, the loop has nested loops too.

Count me in too, but the break time is a little longer. I guess, great people do think alike ;). What say? Wait, Great people think alike with a greater time interval.........sounds good innit? sorry, its ur blog, so i'll let u make the verdict. :)

If you set up your Google Alerts correctly, you can cut back on the time you have to spend on this part of the cycle. There are lots of ways to strip out the unwanted alerts, for example, you can block items that don't apply to you with -keyword. You can also search specific sites with special commands, like link: and site:. You can learn how these tricks work in the free Google Alerts tutorial:
